Feminismo é, claro, parte dos direitos humanos em geral – mas utilizar uma expressão tão vaga como ‘direitos humanos’ seria negar o problema específico do gênero. Seria um jeito de fingir que não foram as mulheres que foram, por séculos, excluídas. Seria um jeito de negar que o problema de gênero tem como alvo as mulheres. Que o problema não é sobre ser humano, mas especificamente sobre ser uma mulher. Por séculos, o mundo dividiu os seres humanos em dois grupos e então excluíram e oprimiram um grupo. É justo que a solução para o problema leve isso em consideração”. A leitura de cartas antigas, guardadas há muito tempo por sua mãe, colocou o cineasta frente a frente com sua história. Viu-se diante dos relatos de uma mulher forte, que por muitos anos precisou lidar com a violência no lar e proteger um jovem menino que testemunhou tudo, acumulando, indefeso, os questionamentos e medos, através do olhar de criança. Tudo isto ressurgia como um filme, que se repetia em suas memórias e seu coração. Desta experiência íntima, de mergulho interior, nasce a exposição ROSTO DE MULHER. APRESENTAÇÃO A exposição ROSTO DE MULHER tem como tema central o combate à Violência contra Mulher em diferentes aspectos, tais como física, psicológica, social e de gênero. O projeto ROSTO DE MULHER busca revelar novos ROSTOS e GRITOS femininos, que terão espaço de expressão através das artes visuais.. Com o propósito de abrir espaço para artistas, mulheres CIS E TRANS, de diferentes idades, que tenham sua arte como forma de grito silencioso num manifesto feminino; revelando uma realidade de opressão à mulher, ainda no século XXI. É essencial que as obras dialoguem com histórias vividas pelas próprias artistas ou observadas a partir do convívio com outras mulheres do Brasil e do mundo, revelando situações que possam causar emoções e identificação, diante do olhar de uma mulher. A exposição torna-se viva , itinerante e mutável, visto que novas artistas poderão ser convidadas em cada região , cidade ou país pelo qual passar. Dentro da temática de combate à violência contra mulher, a proposta também incluirá debates, rodas de conversas com Universidades e Escolas, palestras com líderes sociais e profissionais das áreas da assistência social, segurança à mulher, direitos humanos, educadores, psicólogos e afins. Além da formação de uma rede de mulheres que estarão conectadas ao lançamento da exposição.. JUSTIFICATIVA Além do enfrentamento mundial diante de um vírus desconhecido, 2020 ficou marcado pelo índice de agravamento de mais uma triste realidade, que ocorre diariamente no Brasil; a violência contra a mulher. Durante a pandemia e a necessidade de isolamento social, houve um aumento significativo nos crimes de feminicídio. Segundo dados compilados pela "ONU MULHERES", o aumento foi de aproximadamente 1,9% no Brasil e Equador, 30% em Chipre, 33% em Cingapura, 30% na França e 25% na Argentina, conforme casos notificados. Os índices aqui citados foram pesquisados pelo cineasta e roteirista Jarsom Wayans em parceria com a produtora cultural e cientista social Emanuele Sanuto. O processo de curadoria e pesquisa para estruturação da exposição surge a partir de dados concretos, que visam gerar uma manifestação artística, através das artes visuais, capaz de mobilizar a comunidade carioca com um projeto acessível e de alto impacto socioeducativo.
